We currently have a vacancy for a temporary part-time Pharmacist 1 in the Holland Centre.
The Pharmacy duties can be broadly divided into three areas:
- Drug distribution
- Direct patient care
- Educational responsibilities
Responsibilities include physician order review; clarification and entry; supervision of drug dispensing; answering of drug-related questions; provision of pharmaceutical care; medication reconciliation; participation in multidisciplinary rounds; patient counseling; participation in the education of students and multidisciplinary staff; safety report initiation and follow-up.
Qualifications/Skills
Current licensure by the Ontario College of Pharmacists
Previous Hospital Pharmacy Experience Preferred
Holland Centre Pharmacy experience preferred.
Able to work independently in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful work environment
Self-motivated and able to take initiative
Demonstrated ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Well organized and strong time management skills
